This roadmap explains exactly where Silicon Pirates is heading once funding is secured, what gets built, in what order, on what platforms, and why. This is not a hype document, this is an operations plan.
This document serves as the public planning reference for Silicon Pirates. If something changes, it will be explained publicly. Funding does not change the vision, it changes the pace and sustainability of development.
This phase delivers a complete, stable browser version that stands on its own. Not a demo, not a teaser, a full game playable directly on the website.
Systems must interact correctly, fail for clear reasons, and be recoverable through player action.
Goal, a complete stable replayable game that players can enjoy.
This phase moves Silicon Pirates into a full Unity based PC release. The browser version continues to exist, the Steam version expands and deepens the simulation.
Goal, a polished PC release that feels at home on Steam.
This phase focuses on accessibility without gutting the simulation. Mobile does not mean shallow.
Goal, make Silicon Pirates accessible anywhere, without sacrificing depth.
Every dollar raised goes directly into building and sustaining this project. No executive bonuses, no luxury burn, no vague spending.
My salary for one year, $50,000. This is intentionally on the low side for a full time developer. I will also be covering personal and project related expenses from this amount.
Realistically, $100k plus is more in line with today’s economy, but I am choosing to keep the ask lower and trim my own life expenses so this project can move forward sooner.
Small runs of stickers, shirts, or prints, used primarily for giveaways and early supporter rewards.
Early supporter giveaways may include merch and in game recognition, and thank you packages for early backers.
I’m asking for just enough to work full time, build the game properly, pay people fairly, and ship something players can enjoy for hours on end. I am willing to sacrifice personally to make this happen because I believe in the project, the technology behind it, and the community it can build.
