8-Port Switch -- same unmanaged behavior as the 4-port model, more room to grow. Same Layer-2-only role: it extends a segment without touching DHCP, firewall rules, or IP assignment.
Extends a segment to up to 8 client devices off one uplink -- double the 4-port model's capacity for a modest bump in both price and power draw (10W typical vs 5W).
Runs a little warmer at idle than the 4-port model (31C vs 30C idle, 0.045 heat-per-watt vs 0.04) and has a slightly lower safe max temp (78C vs 75C) -- a minor but real difference if you're packing a rack tightly.
Tip: the jump from 4 to 8 ports is usually worth the small extra draw the first time you're plugging in a 5th client device on one segment -- cheaper than buying and wiring a second 4-port switch just for the overflow.
Takes the Redundant PSU upgrade ($1800, Inspector → Upgrades): it adds a second power input, PSU2. Wire PSU2 to a DIFFERENT PDU or UPS than PSU1 and this device keeps running when either one dies. Two feeds from the SAME PDU protects nothing -- the redundancy panel simulates that PDU failing and watches the device fail with it regardless of cable count.
