1U PDU 500
The 1U PDU 500 is the tier 2 PDU. Same face and the same nine outlets as the starter unit, five times the watts.

When you need it
The starter 1U PDU feeds 100 W, which runs out as soon as a crypto rig or a loaded server comes online. The PDU 500 carries a small working rack on one unit.
How it works
Plug IN into a wall outlet, a power strip, or the OUT of another PDU or UPS. Run a cord from each OUT to a device's PSU. Chained units pool their capacity and their load, so two PDU 500s chained OUT to IN carry up to 1,000 W.
Run it past 500 W and it first risks fire, then pops its breaker. The wall circuit behind it has its own breaker too: 750 W a circuit in a Starter Den, 1,500 W in a Spare Room, 3,000 W in a Machine Room.
Getting one
- Buy it from the VENDOR and rack it from the crate.
- Or upgrade a 1U PDU in place from its HARDWARE tab: 2 Chips, a $60 fee and the unit's price. Every cable stays where it is.
